St. George Historic Downtown
St. George Tabernacle
Built in 1876, this historic building used to be a place of worship for people in St. George. It now hosts daily tours and frequent musical performances by local groups.
Ancestor Square
Ancestor Square is a spot in downtown St. George with shops and restaurants that all fit the red rock old St. George feel.
St. George Art Museum
The St. George Art Museum shows multicultural & regional artworks from many eras, including local artists. Come in any time during open hours to check out the current art on display. The St. George Art Museum also hosts programs and events.
St. George Opera House
On the same property as the Art Museum is the Historic Opera House. The Opera House is now used as a social hall for many events, including weddings, dances, and other parties. The St. George Opera House can be toured during business hours or rented for special occasions.
Temple Quarry Trail
This trail is a short, flat, 2.2 mile trail that leads to the stone quarry site where pioneers of St. George collected larvae lava rocks and moved them to the downtown area to build the St. George Temple.
Town Square Park
This section of the historical downtown district is home to the children's museum, library, splash pad, and carousel. Many times throughout the year, events such as farmers markets, and holiday celebrations are held at the Town Square Park.
